Anthropologie – Market Place – Kingston-Upon-Thames

3 new traditional Victorian awning recovers carried out in time for the opening of the newest Anthropologie store. Situated in the historic Kingston Market Place, this new store is opening just in time for Christmas on the 13th December where there is something for everyone in store and well worth a visit.

The site that Anthropologie has taken is a listed building and the Traditional Victorian Awning from Radiant Blinds & Awnings is perfect and in keeping with the historic market place.

The statue, by English sculptor Francis Bird,  has been standing on the balcony of the quirky Italian styled old town hall (Market House) since 1840 and she’s witnessed a fair amount of change. The most recent being the transformation of the area in June 2014. Out with the cluttered street furniture, old style stalls and worn brick paving and in with a light, airy and open design based around socialising, shopping, food and entertainment. The Market Place is no longer a thoroughfare, it’s a destination and a worthy setting for Kingston’s arts and festivals.
