This was a really esteemed commission that we were privileged to be able to assist with. Blenheim Palace at Woodstock, Oxfordshire is the seat of the Dukes of Marlborough and was built in the early 1700’s. The instruction from the Estate Office was to build a new entrance canopy for their Orangery entrance. The upright supports of the canopy are mounted onto hardwood planters which each contain 60kg of shingle ballast to keep it all in situ. We were very proud to work at this world heritage site which is an incredibly beautiful building steeped in British History.
