Markilux Pergola System Project
Markilux enquiry
Our client approached us after being recommended to the Markilux brand. Lee Atkinson, a director of Radiant Blinds South West Ltd, visited our client’s newly refurbished house in Devon.
Our client had built a large raised decked BBQ/entertaining area to the rear of the property overlooking the estuary. However he found that his alfresco entertaining was always cut short due to the unpredictable English weather. In addition, it is a very windy site. Therefore he found that the area had its limitations. As a consequence, he started to research fixed structures that didn’t aesthetically spoil the decked area but could provide him with a practical solution. He wanted the structure to be weatherproof so he could fully use the decked area. Following his extensive research, he decided that the Markilux Pergola would meet his requirements and at the same time complement his house.
Markilux Pergola System Solution
Following his further on-line research, our client found Radiant Blinds South West. Consequently Lee was able to chat to him, go to site and finalise the details. Our client chose an electrically operated Markilux pergola system controlled via a wireless wall switch in the house. He also chose a remote control for ease of operation. We matched the awning framework to the RAL colour of his new bi-fold doors so it blended in with the colour scheme. He selected his awning fabric from our large selection of plain and patterned materials, again in keeping with his home colours.
Installation
Our three installers took 2/3 days to complete this large installation. We also fitted some heaters, again to allow the area to be used during chilly days and nights. We consider that the finished pergola looks sleek and modern. In addition it provides an area where entertaining, socialising and relaxing can take place irrespective of the weather.
